Charlie #2500

Gender: male

Status: adopted

Charlie is truly our ‘wonder boy’. We were touched beyond words to greet him at the airport and our hearts instantly filled with love and sympathy for this sweet boy and the journey that he endured from the other side of the world. We didn’t know quite what to expect, but he has exceeded our expectations, considering all that he has been through. From the moment we brought him home, he somehow knew he was safe and was going to be loved forever. He wasn’t the least bit phased by our two male cats ~ ‘What cats?’ was kind of his reaction. Charlie is gentle, sweet, super smart, and we can take him anywhere and he is totally relaxed. He has never chewed anything ~ he just gently carries around his favourite shoe (which is any shoe, actually) and seems content to just have it in his mouth. If we’re running quick errands, he waits patiently in the car for us and wags his tail like crazy when he sees us returning. He is wonderful at the dog park and seems to love the freedom of playing with other dogs, off-leash in a large, protected space. Life was a bit tough for us before Charlie came into our lives and we now feel like he has breathed new hope into our home and has given us endless joy. I think he rescued us as much as we rescued him. He makes us laugh and we simply could not be any happier or imagine our lives ‘BC’ (Before Charlie). He is perfection and I can’t believe he is ours and that we got so lucky. He has put on some weight and his fur is starting to get longer. He is so handsome and everyone who meets him just loves him to bits. He knows most of his commands and people are amazed at how well behaved he is. We want to thank you again and again Golden Rescue for making our lives complete.

Mia & Wilf (and Charlie, of course!)
