Canada’s Dog Ban: Click here to find out how you can help.

Laura-Lee loves Goldens and, as a result of having three goofballs from Golden Rescue, she wanted to give back by volunteering. In 2020, she joined the photography team; however, with the pandemic, there weren’t many events so she decided to help in other areas as well. Since then, she has worn many hats by helping with home visits, transports, and volunteering at the picnic. More recently, she became the lead for our home visit team. The foster and placement teams keep her hopping, often with tight deadlines. When Laura-Lee heard about the CFIA ban, she welcomed a Cairo boy into her home just before the ban took place. She is impressed with how much Golden Rescue cares about all Goldens ~domestic or international. Laura-Lee currently has four Goldens in her family, ranging from eight months to eight years of age, which means there isn’t much free or quiet time. She says she works hard to make sure they have everything needed to be good citizens. Laura-Lee has her hands full but always finds time for anything she can do for Goldens. We are so fortunate to have Laura-Lee in the GR family. Thank you, Laura-Lee, for being such a strong advocate and ambassador for Golden Rescue ~ we are incredibly lucky and thankful to have you at our side.
