Gracie #1494

Gender: female

Status: Adopted

Gracie is awesome. At 14.5 years old, she is living the dream. Gracie is our heart dog. She has and continues to fill our life with such joy. At around 3 years of age, Gracie, our phenomenal girl, started doing agility. With lessons and much practice, she eventually became a regional champ in her height class. She trialed in both the U.S. and Canada. Along with agility and due to her incredible personality (empathetic, caring, kind, and sensitive), we undertook the necessary training and successfully volunteered with St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program for around 8 years. She also passed her training to work with children and the vulnerable. We spent years volunteering in hospitals, school reading programs, nursing homes, etc. We also volunteered at the Para-Olympics. One of our greatest achievements has been volunteering with York Region Victim Services at the Newmarket courthouse. Gracie has spent countless hours supporting those most vulnerable. Her support has been immense and immeasurable. So, you ask, how is Gracie? She is one of a kind…the love of our family. We are deeply grateful to Golden Rescue for blessing us with Gracie, our truly special ‘Golden rescue’.
