Colby #2374

Gender: male

Status: Adopted

Colby is still with us and living his best life. We have just celebrated his 13th birthday. Like us, Colby is getting a little stiff in the joints but he still loves his walks. Sometimes he just tells us ’that’s far enough for today guys’, especially with the snow we had this winter. He had an ACL tear three years ago that needed two surgeries so that was not a great summer for him; however, he recovered and was back to his normal, active self in no time. He is looking forward to this swim season, which is close though he has to make it through the mud season first. Colby is still working with the St. John’s Therapy dog program and has gotten his sister Luna (now 9) into it as well. As a gentle soul, he is great with kids’ programs and his favourite activities are the library reading program, school visits for the little children and special needs kids, and stress buster programs at high schools. He just laps up the attention. We feel privileged to have Colby in our lives. He remains one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had. We are grateful Golden Rescue sent Colby to us.
