I failed and I REALLY need your help!  I was adopted and returned because as much as I love humans, I simply can’t be with other dogs under ANY circumstances.  I need to live in a place with no other dogs nearby (i.e. fence neighbours).  I am happy getting my exercise in a fenced back yard.  I can NEVER go for walks or leave my secure yard in case I encounter another dog.  My lovely forever family forgot this and took me for a walk where I encountered another dog with disastrous results.  If I can’t find a family who understands this about me, GR might have to give up on me and they just don’t do that.  Yes, I am aggressive with other dogs and my trainer says this will never change, but I am a pussy cat with humans.  In fact, I have been described as a big, lazy (with some spurts of energy), calm, love bug and I’m okay with that description as it’s pretty accurate.  I’m really big…180 lbs (so in a way, you’d almost be adopting three Goldens ~ haha).  They call me JC after John Candy…get it?  I hardly ever bark.  I love being touched almost anywhere, but we can talk about that!  I love my food.  You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me.  I am gentle with my treats.  I can jump into the car no problem and I’m good in the car…although you’re not going to take me anywhere other than just for a drive or the odd trip to the vet (which also has to be arranged so that I don’t run into other dogs while there).  I’m not big on toys but I do love hanging out in the backyard sniffing and watching the world go by.  I know my commands and the doc says I’m healthy except my teeth need some work.  I’m ready to find my new forever family…and a calm, quiet family without young children would be best.  Anybody got space for me?  I do take up more room than your average Golden but that only means there’s more of me to love.  You know that baseball terms…three strikes and you’re out???  I’m getting close to that and I really need your help as I have also been a very expensive boy for Golden Rescue to board.  If you can live with my limitations, I promise to love you to the moon and back.

JC is currently being fostered in the Newmarket, ON area. If you would like more information about JC please call our hot-line toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
