#2637 JC

ID #: 2637 Age: 5 yrs Gender: male Status: Adopted

What weighs 180 pounds and is furry, sweet, calm, and lazy?  If you guessed ‘me’, you’re right!  I’m like that big, lovable Hoss Cartwright-type Golden (Golden-esque) but my name is JC (short for John Candy).  You might be too young to remember who Hoss Cartwright was but I love Bonanza re-runs!  Yes, I am a big boy around five years old ~ a huge, cuddly bear who absolutely loves humans.  Dogs and other critters, on the other hand, not so much.  Now, I was sent away to school for this problem and it is much better as long as I’m on a leash; however, I am not okay with dogs and I can be aggressive, so I shouldn’t have direct contact with dogs or bad things might happen ~ and they have!  I know that’s a problem but in truth, it’s my only foible so maybe we could work around that one together.  I have been described as a big, lazy, calm, love bug and I’m okay with that description as it’s pretty accurate.  I hardly ever bark.  I love being touched anywhere.  I love my food.  You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me.  I am gentle with my treats.  I can jump into the car no problem.  I’m not big on toys but I do love hanging out in the backyard sniffing and watching the world go by.  If you had a big secure backyard away from small dogs and cats, that would be perfect for me.  And if you absolutely have to take me for walks (as opposed to simply playing with me outside), you’ll have to be strong because of my size.  I know my commands and the doc says I’m healthy.  I’m ready to find my new forever family.  Anybody got space for me?  I do take up more room than your average Golden but that only means there’s more of me to love.

JC is currently being fostered in the Newmarket, ON area. If you would like more information about JC please call our hot-line toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
