2657 ~ Jules

ID #: 2657 Age: 3 years Gender: female Status: available

Hi Everyone my name is Jules and I’m around three years old.  I came to Canada on a big, metal bird from the streets of Istanbul to this amazing country full of good people who have been so kind to me.  Soon after I was born, I developed Rickets, which means I’m bow-legged.  The doc says there is nothing they can do for me so I soldier on.  It doesn’t stop me from running and having a good life.  I just have to limp along (teehee) but don’t worry, it’s not too painful but I do take pain meds to help keep me comfortable.  I love everyone I meet and I especially love kids.  I am not, however, a fan of other dogs so they must be kept at a distance.  I know my commands, my recall has improved and I’m working on the leash thing but that is certainly a work-in-progress.  I’m not a big barker, am gentle with my treats, and loud noises don’t bother me.  I understand you have to leave me alone at times so I’m not too stressed about that.  I’m good in the car and love running free in the backyard so a big fenced space would be amazing.  My fantastic foster family describes me as happy, sweet, and lovable.  If that’s true, it’s because of all the wonderful people I met at Golden Rescue.  Thank you, everyone, for all you have done for me.  I am a lucky girl indeed and remember don’t worry about my wonky legs ~ it’s just my trademark and I’m used to it.  The Monks had a song which is the total opposite of me:  Nice Legs Shame About Her Face (teehee)!

Jules is currently being fostered in the Ottawa, ON area. If you would like more information about Jules please call our hotline toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
