#2827 ~ Bailey

ID #: 2827 Age: 2 yrs Gender: male Status: adopted

Hi everyone, my name is Bailey and I’m almost two years old.  I’m a big boy and strong-like-bull.  Although I certainly look like a Golden, something else has crept into my genes making me a little higher energy than most Goldens.  So, if you are an active, exercise-oriented family, I would fit in perfectly.  I’ve been told I’m a good boy ~ very loving and sweet but somehow or other I missed my basic training so I’m learning all that stuff from scratch.  I am smart but can easily be diverted from my lessons if there is something nearby to play with…then my attention will definitely wander.  I’m learning the leash thing slowly but the gentle leader is helping a bit.  I know I’ve still got a lot to learn so, if you take me into your family, you would need to be patient and consistent with me until my schooling is complete.  I love all people, children, other dogs, and even cats are okay with me but I’m big and goofy and full of energy so I could hurt young children unintentionally by my sheer size and enthusiasm, so better I stay away from children until I’m better trained.  I don’t like loud noises but I don’t freak either, so I can tolerate things like thunder.  I am used to being left alone if you have to go out without me so no problem there except you might want to keep paper towels, garbage, and other stuff out of reach to be safe as I can be a little destructive.  I love swimming, walking, running, playing, fetching (although I don’t always bring back whatever you throw), and I even use the treadmill to burn off energy at times.  I am just full of the joys of spring.  I’m happy, goofy, and a little bit crazy but I’m a lover, not a fighter so, don’t worry about that.  Think of me as the energizer bunny…a bunny the size of a small horse (haha).

Bailey is currently being fostered in the Wasaga Beach, ON area. If you would like more information about Bailey please call our hot-line toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
