Hi everyone…my name is Cohen and I’m two years old. Now, I grew up on the streets of Istanbul so Canada is very new to me but OMG…do I ever love it here. Canadian people are so kind to me. I get fed twice a day. I have my own bed. I go for walks and car rides. How lucky am I? I have been described as a sweet, friendly, and affectionate boy. I think that is because I love people so much, especially Canadians. Dogs, however, are another story. When I had to fend for myself on the streets, I become wary of other dogs. So, it would be much better for me if there are no other pets in your home. I have guarding issues. My toys and food are like prized possessions, especially if there is another dog around so I certainly have some stuff to work on so I’ll need a strong alpha family. I wouldn’t be good at the dog park either because if I see a ball, it’s mine, so less contact with dogs and more contact with people would be my perfect scenario. “Scenario” ~ now there’s a big word for a Turkish boy like me (see, I AM a fast learner, teehee). I’m not afraid of loud noises and I’m okay if you have to leave me from time to time to go about your chores. I love being touched and petted and other than some skin irritation I’m also very healthy. I’ve been through a lot and I have survived some pretty tough stuff. Then magically I was saved, transported to Canada, and now have a shot at a new life. To paraphrase Emerson Lake and Palmer “Oh, What a Lucky Boy Am I.” Thank you, Golden Rescue, thank you!
