#2849 Jojo – New and Improved!

ID #: 2849 Age: 1 year Gender: female Status: adopted

Hi everyone…my name is JoJo and I’m a one year-old girl.  I’m a bit of a skinny-minnie but I’m putting on weight now that I have met the wonderful people at Golden Rescue.  First things first ~ I’m not entirely Golden…I think they’re calling me a Golden-wannabe (teehee).  I’m told I’m smart though and eager to learn but I am still a pup after all who grew up on the streets of Cairo.  I have tons of energy and love to run, go walkies, go in the car, and do pretty much anything that helps me burn off energy.  I’m learning my commands pretty well and I’m even starting to understand that leash thing.  My separation anxiety, which was pretty bad when I first arrived, is quite a bit better already.  So, you see, I AM a fast learner.  I’m also told I’m a real sweetie-pie with humans and I’m a first-class cuddler.  My big issue is that I’m not like this with other dogs.  I’m just too boisterous and have no socialization skills to speak of so, for now, I need to be the only pet in the family.  I’m being honest here because I want you to know I still need help adapting to your wonderful world and other Canadian dogs.  Also, because I’m boisterous, I’m not a good candidate to be around young kids, at least for now.  I am told I am loveable and that I’m “cute as a button”.  I am gentle with my treats and loud noises don’t bother me.  My foster dad jokingly says I’m an angel when I’m sleeping.  But seriously, he says that I’m a wonderful little girl who needs someone to love me…and the rest will look after itself with time.  Well, that’s about it for me.  Once I grow up a bit more and learn some more stuff, I’ll have a lot more to tell you but for now this is JoJo saying…oops, gotta go…my advanced training class is starting and I have to pay attention!

Jojo is currently being fostered in the Newmarket, ON area. If you would like more information about Jojo please call our hot-line toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
