#3073 Daisy

ID #: 3073 Age: 2 yrs Gender: female Status: in-progress

Hi everyone…my name is Daisy and I’m two years old.  I’m not sure what happened to me before I met the good people at Golden Rescue but whatever it was, it has made me afraid of a lot of things.  With the help of my amazing foster family, I am getting better every day.  I used to be afraid of doorways and, believe it or not, even food and water scared me.  Now, I actually get excited at meal times.  I’m still a Nervous-Nelly, particularly if I hear loud, unexpected noises but every day, in every way, I’m getting used to things.  As the Beatles so aptly put it “I have to admit it’s getting better…so much better all the time”.  Good song BTW.  I heard my foster mom describe me as “gentle, calm, healthy, and full of life”.  Wow, that sounds really good.  If that’s true, it is totally because of the fantastic love, care, patience, and understanding I’ve received.  Here are a few other things you should know about me.  I am fine with people, children, and other dogs but I am simply timid around all of them, so my foster mom thinks I should be the only dog in the family for now.  There’s nothing to worry about and hopefully, in time, I will get more comfortable with everybody and everything as I’ve already made huge strides.  I hardly ever bark.  I love my walks and runs.  You can touch me anywhere.  I understand if you have to leave me at times to go do chores.  I am gentle with my treats.  I am afraid of the car but once I’m in, I just lie there and stay quiet.  My favourite thing to do is run up a hill, get on my back, and slide down the hill feet in the air.  That’s proof that there’s a Golden goofball in me somewhere!

Daisy is currently being fostered in the Mississauga, ON area. If you would like more information about Daisy please call our hotline toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
