Hi everyone in Golden-Rescue-land. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I don’t know what I did to deserve your attention and care but OMG you saved me!!! I came into your program matted, full of fleas, and stinking to high heaven. I didn’t even know what a house was ~ I’d never seen one, never been in one, never experienced its warmth, never experienced its nice smell and the people who lived in one! I had never ever experienced a gentle touch, sweet care, and unconditional love. So, let me tell you about myself before all this wonderfulness. I didn’t know any of the above before but here’s what I’ve been told. I have a name ~ it is Tulip. I am around six years old and I grew up in a cage where I was used for breeding. It’s all I knew. Today, I live in a house with these loving people who feed me, walk me, play with me, and love me. Life is absolutely amazing and I love it and I love them. They have taught me your ways, which didn’t take me long. I was so grateful, eager to learn, and wanting to please, so I picked up all your stuff pretty quickly. I could still use a bit more leash training, especially if I see that thing you call a squirrel…but that’s about it. I, of course, now love all people of all shapes and sizes, am fine with other dogs, and even cats are okay with me. I’m healthy except for a bit of stiffness in one hip at times. I’m not a big barker. Loud noises don’t bother me. I’m fine being left alone if you have to go out without me. I’m gentle with my treats and you can touch me anywhere. I’ve been described as a big suck ~ a beautiful, friendly, happy sweetheart. If any or all those words are true, it is a result of all of you at Golden Rescue, particularly my fantastic foster family and their beautiful, warm, loving, sweet-smelling home. Thank you again for giving me this amazing second chance. I won’t let you down.
