#3283 Tasha

ID #: 3283 Age: 9 yrs Gender: female Status: In-Progress

Hi everyone…I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.  My name is Tasha and I’m a nine-year-old girl.  I was a little timid when I first met the wonderful people at Golden Rescue but with the help of my amazing foster family, I’ve really come out of my shell.  I’m a bit of a Skinny-Minnie, although my doc says I’m just fine.  I have a bit of stiffness in my rear end, so staying slim is actually a good thing for me.  My foster family is amazing and I have three canine siblings.  I just love being with other dogs…in fact, Golden Rescue is insisting that I go to a family with at least one other dog (preferably a nice laid-back Golden) and I agree.  I’ve been told that when I’m around another dog, I have a perpetual smile on my face.  Don’t get me wrong, I love people (and can even tolerate cats) but other dogs make me happy.  I’m probably fine with children but with this pandemic thing, we haven’t had any kids visit.  I’m not a big barker, although when I do bark, I’m told it’s pretty shrill ~ hmmmmm…not sure I can do anything about that.  Loud noises don’t bother me, I’m gentle with my treats, you can touch me anywhere, and I’m fine if you have to go out without me.  I love my car rides and walks but I also love just cuddling on the couch.  The leash thingy is a work-in-progress but other than that I’m pretty good with my commands.  I’m not great on shiny, smooth floors and I need some encouragement with inside stairs.  As much as I love hanging out with my family in the house, I love the great outdoors and rolling in the snow or rubbing my back on the new spring grass.  It’s wonderful.  In fact, my life is now wonderful since I met everybody at Golden Rescue.  I’m now looking for my happily-ever-after and I know you’re out there.

Tasha is currently being fostered in the Oxford Mills, ON area. If you would like more information about Tasha please call our hot-line toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
