#3447 Rio ~ The Next Chapter

Rio is AMAAAAAZZZZING! He is such a beloved part of our family. He comes with us everywhere and when he can’t, he patiently waits for us at the door. He never barks unless someone rings the doorbell and then he lets anyone and everyone in but doesn’t like when they leave. He is wonderful on leash; however, that took a bit of work as he practically tore our rotator cuffs off when he first arrived. Now, he walks right beside us. He will never be a dog’s dog ~ he will still lunge at another dog if they come too close so we have different routes for our walks. We’ve tried working with him on socialization with other dogs but it’s just not in the cards and that’s fine by us. He is the best thing that ever came into our world. Thank you for giving us beautiful Rio. He has brought comfort through tears and grief, companionship in times of aloneness, and laughter every single day. But most of all, he is just pure love.
