Hi everyone my name is Lucie and I’m a two-year-old girl. I have been described as a strong alpha. I’m very loving and affectionate but no pushover. My amazing foster/teacher suggests I need a strong, knowledgeable but kind person to be my leader and I agree. I respond well to strength ~ it makes me feel safe and secure. So, if you’re a mushball, I’ll bowl you over. I also have a lot of energy and have been described as a ‘working girl’ so if you live an energetic life, I just might be your perfect companion. The doc says I’m healthy but like a lot of my Golden cousins, I have mild hip dysplasia. It doesn’t slow me down one little bit though. I love rolling on the grass on my back playing with my favourite toy. Speaking of toys, I do have guarding issues with my prized possessions. My teacher has taught me ‘drop it’, which I do, but I need to be leashed when asked and then I’ll do it every time. See, you can teach a young dog new tricks (teehee). Speaking of leashes, I’m actually pretty good unless I see a critter, then not so much. I love my car rides and I love running free in a big backyard. I can be left alone if you have to go out without me, loud noises don’t bother me, and once I get to know you, I enjoy being touched and petted. My amazing fosters describe me as smart, curious, loving, sweet, and loyal but I’m also a girl who knows my own mind, so I’m no shrinking violet. So, if you are a confident human who also knows your own mind, we just might be the perfect fit.
