Hi all you good people in GoldenRescueLand! My name is Rusty, oh no, I mean Murphy, oh that’s wrong too, my name is actually Chase. Now if you think that’s confusing, you’re right because I found it completely baffling. You see I came from the streets of Cairo where an amazing woman there contacted GR and somehow magically I arrived in your fair land. Now I just assumed it was a Canadian custom that you all changed your names every six months. I thought it was weird but hey when in Rome…right? I found out later that’s not true. Here’s what actually happened. When I came to Canada, my name was Rusty. I was first adopted to a lovely woman who changed my name to Murphy. She had cats and unbeknownst to her, I hate cats so my first entry into the GR program didn’t go well, as you can imagine. So, GR took me back and sent me to this other person who changed my name to Chase. He was a nice man but he had to give me up too. I had a few health issues and now the doc says I’m healthy as a horse. Horse??? You Canadians are lovely but definitely a bit weird. Now I do have an allergy issue but I’m on this medication and it’s working really well (but it is around $160 per month…very sorry about that). So, that’s my GR rock n’ roll ride; however, the next family WILL be my forever family. So, here’s a little bit about myself. I’m 4 years old and other than one black ear I’m a Golden through and through. I do still need more training in your human ways but I’m doing really well so far. I’m even improving on that leash thing. I am learning to be gentle with my treats. I don’t love loud noises but I don’t freak either. I am not a big barker. You can touch me anywhere and leave me alone if you have to go out without me. I absolutely love all humans and other dogs but not cats. In fact, I have a high prey drive for critters so it’s important that I have a secure backyard. So, in closing, here’s what my amazing foster mom says about me: “Chase is the most loveable, loyal boy ~ so cuddly, wants your attention, and wants to be near you in the most endearing way. He is amazing and anyone would be lucky to have him.” WOW ~ thank you so much! Oh, one last thing. If we get together and you like me, I have one condition (besides regular meals and lots of love)…you have to sign a document agreeing not to change my name. It’s called an NCA (Non-Confusing Agreement). Ha-ha!

Chase is currently being fostered in the Collingwood, ON area.  If you would like more information about Chase please call our hot-line toll-free at 1-866-712-8444 or email adoption@goldenrescue.ca and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
