Hi everyonemy name is Jack and I’m five years old.  Since I met the good folks at GR, my life has been amazing.  I am one of those Goldens who simply loves life.  I especially love mornings and I run around like the energizer bunny because a new exciting day has begun I love people and people love me.  As for other dogs, I’m not exactly what I’d call a social butterfly.  I can be a bit aggressive with male dogs and I’m obsessed with female dogs, so for now, it’s probably best for me to be the only pet in the home.  You see, I’m what you humans call ‘not fixed’ so all those not-so-nice behaviours could change once I’m neutered However, Golden Rescue wants me to find my forever family sooner rather than later and right now it’s taking a long time to get a neutering appointment.  So, if you adopt me, the first priority is to get me neutered.  I know it’s a bit inconvenient but we all have to adapt to his crazy world, right?  I just love my walks and walking with a leash is still a work-in-progress.  Right now, I bark like crazy when I’m about to go on a walk because I get SO excited.  My amazing foster family is working on calming me down but it is a workinprogress that hopefully you will continue (so the feeling is that maybe kids wouldn’t be a great idea either for now).  I suspect I would be a cat chaser so best not to have cats in the family either.  I am gentle with my treats and you can touch me anywhere or leave me alone if you have to go out without me.  Loud noises get my attention but I’m not afraid of them.  I love the car but I want to ride shotgun so that also needs some work My biggest wish would be for you to have a big fenced backyard so I could run around and burn off a lot of that ‘zest for life’ energy.  So, there are a few challenges to overcome, but I’m totally worth it…please believe me!!!

Jack is currently being fostered in the Kingston, ON area. If you would like more information about Jack please call our hot-line toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
