  • Exuberant boy
  • Needs continued training for ‘drop it’ and the leash
  • Loves to chase critters so a secure fenced yard is essential
  • Charming and a snuggling superstar

Hi everyone…my name is Harper and I’m a two-year-old boy. I still have a lot of puppy in me and my foster dad says that makes me really cute. I know most of my commands and lately I’ve been working on ‘drop it’ and that leash thingy and I’m told I’m doing really well. That makes me feel good because I really want to please you humans because I love all of you. I’m also okay with dogs but most of the time I just ignore them so my foster dad says I could use more socialization with my canine cousins. I’m fine with that if that’s what you want. I have good energy and love activity but I am also a snuggling superstar if you just want to hang out. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere…and please do! Loud noises don’t bother me (and we had a doozie of a thunderstorm last night) and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. The doc says I’m healthy and my foster dad says I’m a critter-chasing crazy-boy but he also says that’s part of my charming personality (but that means I need a secure yard). My foster dad describes me as a really sweet, loving boy who is a joy to be around. Jiminy Cricket…that is quite a compliment!

Harper is currently being fostered in the Newmarket, ON area. If you would like more information about Harper call our hotline toll-free at 1-866-712-8444 or email adoption@goldenrescue.ca and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
