Bella is an amazingly lovely and smart girl. Everyone who sees her, wants to meet her and it is often noted that she looks so lovely and friendly, which she is. She is super mellow and friendly with other dogs and loves nothing better than to play tag with other pooches. Her nose is very strong and I plan to begin teaching her nose work so she can do more of what comes naturally to her. We have our morning run and an afternoon walk as well as hiking on weekends. When she first arrived, she hated water (and men) but now we can’t keep her out of every river or lake that we encounter; however, she is not a swimmer…just a plop in the water to chill girl. She is still somewhat cautious with new men but warms to them quickly when we indicate they are not a threat. There is not an aggressive bone in her body although the occasional baby bunny or bird finds its way into her mouth but upon a ‘drop it’ command, she does and they are left unharmed. She uses play and avoidance to manage more outgoing or aggressive dogs. She has added so much to our family and brought so much joy to our lives.
