Hi everyone…my name is Solomon and I’m 5 years old. I’m a big boy with a big thick coat which I looooove getting brushed. I am a little on the lazy, laid-back side but don’t worry, I love my walks and am great on the leash but just hanging out on the couch and chilling is also one of my favourite things. I love people, particularly when they brush and feed me. I do love my food and can be a little focused around it. I have learned ‘drop it’ and to sit before I get my food but you best keep food off the counter and put my treats in a bowl not in your hand because I tend to be grabby. My lovely foster dad/teacher says he’s been working on my guarding issues and I am starting to understand but this part of my training needs reinforcement. I’m not a fan of other dogs so it would be best if I was the only dog in the house and, because of my size, being around small children isn’t a good idea either. A family that is not too energetic with no children or dogs/cats would be ideal for me. I do not have a high prey drive so I mostly ignore critters in the backyard. Loud noises don’t bother me. I am not a big barker and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. Other than some ear infections from time to time, the doc says I’m a big healthy boy. Unless I meet another dog, I am a gentle giant who simply chills, watching the world go by and waiting patiently for my next meal. Well, maybe not that patiently ~ ha-ha.
