Canada’s Dog Ban: Click here to find out how you can help.

ID #: 4204 4233 Age: 8 mo Gender: male Status: Adopted

We are looking for Golden angels for these two young boys who SO deserve a second chance at life. They have had rough starts to their young lives and have been abused…yet in their true golden spirit, they love and want to be loved!

Hunter #4233
Hi everyone in Canada. My name is Hunter and I am writing to you from Cairo…a place far, far away. I was rescued by this amazing kind lady here and now live in a shelter with lots of other ‘unwanteds’. I am a little over 8 months old and very
skinny. I have a wonky front leg as you can see from my video.

One of the rescuers here at the shelter who feeds me, comes up to me each morning, looks at me lovingly, and starts singing “Great face, shame about the leg.” I wag my tail in time to the song and then wolf down my breakfast. He’s such a funny guy! My rescue angel here is determined to get me to your wonderful country where the docs could see what might be done for my leg, even though I get around quite well…a lot better than my buddy Murphy ~ I feel so badly for him. I know it’s asking a lot to take me in and help me return to health but if you can find it in your heart to rescue me, I will repay you with all the love, affection, and gratitude there is in this world…honest! I am a kind, loving, well-behaved boy who loves all humans and other dogs and am praying for a chance to meet you in your wonderful country. You will recognize me immediately at the airport. I’ll be the one hopping down the ramp (hee-hee)!

Murphy #4204

Hi everyone…my name is Murphy and I’m also a little over 8 months old and I live in the same shelter as Hunter. As you can see, I have a wonky leg as well but one of my back legs doesn’t work at all. I am told I might be going to your wonderful country to see if there is a doc there who might help me somehow. I have lots of friends here at the shelter who get around fine on three legs and maybe that will be my solution. So, I may eventually be a tri-pawd but it’s too soon to tell.

The people here in Cairo have already been so kind to me so I can’t believe that they are now trying even harder to help me by sending me over to you. I also need to put on weight but if I can find a kind Canadian forever family, that’ll be an easy fix as I sure love my food. I’ve been described as a wonderful, loving good boy who loves everyone I meet…human or canine. I have no behavioural issues and despite my bad leg, I get up each morning looking forward to my day…drinking in the kindness I have recently found. I know you Canadians have a reputation of having big hearts and kind souls so is there room in those beautiful hearts and souls for me?

Murphy and Hunter will be arriving in Canada very soon.  If you would like more information about Murphy and Hunter please call our hot-line toll free at 1-866-712-8444 or email adoption@goldenrescue.ca and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
