Remy #4311

Gender: male

Status: Adopted

Where to begin with Remy! We moved to Northern Ontario and weren’t planning on adding to our family but as they say, there’s always room for one more. We weren’t sure how Remy would adapt being a new tripawd and from Istanbul. The first winter we layered him since his coat was still quite thin from dermatitis and the fur at the amputation area was also still growing back. We also got him boots for better traction and warmth. Off he went with his sister Gracie rooting through the snow looking for critters and all you could see was two bums sticking up through the snow. That continues to be their favourite pastime in the winter. The summer brought other new adventures. We have a beautiful lake with a sandy beach nearby and Remy wasn’t entirely sure about water but by the end of that summer, he discovered there were fish and frogs in the shallows and that was it. He is very happy sitting in the water watching for fish and frogs to swim by to chase. His other love is going for car rides…he literally shakes with anticipation. And for lack of a better word, his ‘howling’ is hilarious. He is a very outgoing boy and absolutely loves to meet people and is very curious about other dogs; however, people are his first love. Everyone thinks he is the most ‘chill’ dog they have ever met. He’s always calm unless you give him a wrapped Christmas present and then his wild side comes out. We’re not sure where he learned how to unwrap presents but he is an excellent paper shredder and does so with complete abandon and is very good at spitting out the paper. Thank you to everyone at Golden Rescue for bringing wonderful Remy to us.
