#4329 Lexi

ID #: 4329 Age: 18 months Gender: female Status: Adopted
Happy Sunday…my name is Lexi and I’m a 1.5-year-old girl. I love my name because it’s a playful, youthful-sounding name and it fits be perfectly because I’m still a puppy in most ways. In fact, before I met the good people at GR, I didn’t have a lot of training. My wonderful foster family started working on that right away and boy, am I ever learning a lot now. I really didn’t know most of the stuff you humans want. My foster dad says I’m a fast learner and that I’ve already improved a great deal. I have a lot of energy and have been called the energizer bunny. I love being made a fuss over. I love all you humans and will show you my affection right away. I am probably too enthusiastic for young children right now as I still jump up but I am learning to control that. I love other dogs but can still be possessive around food and other stuff I like, but I’m working on that as well. I respond well to a strong leader because that makes me feel secure. So, you definitely need to be the boss over me to continue my training. I love being petted and you can touch me anywhere. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me and the doc says I’m healthy. Like a lot of Goldens, I have a high prey drive so no cats please and a secure yard would be best. My foster mom describes me as a “sweet, loving, affectionate, curious girl”. Not bad for a youngster, right?
