Hi…my name is Sky and I’m a 9-month-old boy. Yes, I’m still a puppy who loves all your wonderful human ways, especially now that I have met all the good people at Golden Rescue. My foster family is particularly wonderful and they have already taught me so much. I was pretty skinny and exhausted when I first came into the GR program but I’m fine now and the doc says I’m healthy. Both of my front legs are a little wonky (deformed) but they sure don’t slow me down any. I’m likely going to require surgery, so it would be fantastic if you could see me through those. Until then, I need to go easy on walks ~ not long distances. For my
surgeries, it would be best if you were to live within driving distance of Toronto, which is where my specialist is. My foster mom describes me as sweet, loving, easy-going, and smart. That’s good to hear because I really want to please you. I love all people, young and old, and I love other dogs but I am still a pup so I am energetic. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere and loud noises don’t bother me. When you leave me alone, I always bark for a few minutes but I eventually settle down. This might change as I get a little older and more confident. I love my walks but start a bit too enthusiastically ~ then after a few minutes, I calm down and walk not too badly. A strong, loving, consistent leader will help with my leash training so don’t worry too much about that. My foster family is pleased with my progress and believe I’m ready to find a forever family. That’s a bit scary but if they think I’m ready then I’m okay with that!
