Hi everyone…my name is O’Brien and I’m around 6 years old. I came from Istanbul and I have to say before I met the good people at GR, I was quite a mess. I was covered in flea sores and it took a while to get me looking all fluffy and clean like I am today. Unfortunately, I have allergies and a skin condition that needs regular treatment but I do feel a million times better. My amazing foster mom looks after me really well as I need a certain kind of food, weekly baths, monthly allergy shots, eye drops/ointment, and ear cleaning. I feel badly about all this work I’m putting you through and the special food, meds, and shampoo that runs around $500/month. Maybe I need to find a job so I can help pay for all this (teehee). Other than that, the doc says I’m healthy. I’m starting to understand your Canadian ways and am doing quite well. I could use more work on that leash thingy but I have to admit that I do love my walks. I love people although really young kids make me a little nervous. I am fine with other dogs but sometimes I can be a bit timid. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. I don’t like loud noises but I don’t freak either. You can touch me anywhere except my tail. I am gentle with my treats and should I forget, I know the word ‘gentle’. I don’t love the car but I’m okay to travel. I do love people…especially all you Canucks. I do love playing but I’m not crazy energetic and I equally love hanging out and cuddling. I am one grateful girl who tries EVERY SINGLE DAY to show my love and gratitude to all you GR folks. I can’t believe how good my life is now…thank you so much.
