ID #: 4388 Age: 7 yrs Gender: female Status: Adopted

Hi everyone…my name is Bailey and our best guess is that I’m between 7-9 years old. I’m a female…as my name doesn’t give that away, does it? Before I met the good people at Golden Rescue, I had never lived in a house before. I was smelly, my nails were very long, my ears were very dirty, and I was bewildered about all the kindness I was being shown. I had never seen a bed and I had no idea what playing or toys were…and I still don’t. My amazing foster family took me in and started to show me all your human ways. I wasn’t even housetrained, which was very embarrassing at my age…but I’ve pretty much figured that out now. Since my foster family have gotten to know me, they describe me as easy-going, sweet, gentle, obedient, and a little sad. The doc says I’m healthy except I have a weak back leg that he is going to x-ray when I go to get a little operation you humans call ‘spaying’. I love people and other dogs and my foster mom thinks I would probably be even okay with cats, although I haven’t met one yet. I am gentle with my treats, you can touch me anywhere, and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. Loud noises don’t bother me and I’m not loud either…as I rarely bark. I’m actually pretty good on the leash and I don’t need long walks as I’m a relatively low-energy girl. Don’t get me wrong, I like my walks but I’m equally happy just hanging out. I do like to roam so a fenced yard would be ideal for me. So, if you’re looking for an easy-going companion to hang out with and go for the odd stroll together, that sounds like heaven to me.
