Happy spring everyone in GoldenRescueLand. My name is Heidi and I’m 6 years old. GR rescued me from a not-very-nice situation where I had no positive interactions with the human world. Consequently, I was very nervous when I met all you good people. For example, I couldn’t walk on hardwood floors, loud noises made me nervous, I didn’t like going outside, and I did not like the snow. Now, seven weeks later, I’m told I’m like a new girl ~ still a bit nervous but settling into a routine in this warm, loving foster home that GR found for me. My absolute favourite thing to do is sit in the TV room with my foster family close to me giving me sweet love and attention. Boy, I never even knew this kind of life existed. I’m learning your ways and getting better every day. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere and I just love it. I’m not a big barker. I’m not bad on the leash either and the doc says I’m healthy. I would be better in the country or some other quiet setting because city traffic-type noises really make me feel anxious. I’m fine on my own but I really do love being made a fuss over. I’m not overly energetic, so a quieter family would be perfect. I love people, children, other dogs, and even cats are fine with me, although I tend to just ignore cats. Here’s what my lovely foster parents say about me “Heidi is just a sweet girl who loves attention and affection. She will make an awesome family member for any family, as long as it’s not overly boisterous. She is eager to please and just wants to be a part of the gang.” Moving from here is exciting but also a wee bit scary. So, what do you think…could I join your gang?
