Hi everybody…my name is Jean and I’m 6 years old. Have you ever heard the question, ”Were you born in a barn?” Well, I WAS actually born and lived in a barn. So, when I met my amazing foster family, I was very skittish as I had never been in a house before. I’m a LOT better now but I still get nervous in new situations. Other than that, my foster mom says, “Jean is a real sweetheart ~ sweet and gentle without an aggressive bone in her body.” I have gained so much confidence since the good people at GR rescued me and I’m getting to understand your human ways. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother me unless there is a new sudden noise but then I recover quickly. The doc says I’m healthy and I’m even pretty good on the leash. If you have to leave me alone, I’m fine as long as there is another dog in the family. If not, I get freaked out so I need another dog for my comfort level. BTW, I love other dogs as much as I love people. My foster parents say “If we were able to, we would adopt Jean ourselves as she fits in so well with our family and two other dogs. She lived in a barn her whole life so the inside of a house is completely new to her. She is doing incredibly well but her new family will have to understand that she will need patience in order to blossom. We believe that with a little time, she will be the best.” So, I can’t wait to meet you and your dog(s) and I hope I will be the perfect fit for you.
