Hi everyone…my name is Lucky and I’m an 18-month-old girl. Before I met the good people at GR, I didn’t have a lot of experience in your human ways. For example, I had never been in a car or worn a collar and leash. So, I sure was a
neophyte to your wonderful world. Worry not, though, because I’m a fast learner and my training is going well. I still pull on the leash if I get excited and I don’t love the car yet; however, my fabulous foster dad says I’m getting better every day. I do get excited easily and tend to jump up on new people I meet so it would be best if I don’t go to a home with young children as I might knock them over. I don’t have an aggressive bone in my body but I sure wouldn’t want to hurt a child accidently. I am gentle with my treats, you can touch me anywhere, and I hardly ever bark. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me and the doc says I’m healthy. He did say I could lose a few pounds and with all this new attention and exercise I’m getting, that should be easy (that being said, I’m not in love with getting less food). I love people and other dogs but I do have a high prey drive so cats would be in peril in my company. My lovely foster mom says and I quote: ”Lucky is a very loving and sweet girl and anyone who adopts her will be very lucky indeed.” Maybe that’s why I got the name ‘Lucky’ (teehee).
