Hi everyone in Golden Rescue. Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving me. My name is Jojo and I’m a 5-year-old grateful girl. You see, before I met the good people at Golden Rescue I was totally unfamiliar with the wonderful human world. When I first came into the GR program, I was scared to death and literally frozen in fear. Within a month, I started to realize I was safe and had entered a world full of love and kindness. It felt so good. I am still nervous around men but I love all women, dogs, and cats. You can see by my picture that I only have one eye. GR took me to the doc and they operated on it and closed the socket which has really helped me and I can now see fine out of one eye. In fact, other than that, the doc says I’m healthy. I am learning to play. I already love car rides. I am learning my commands and I’m even learning the leash thing. I have attempted counter surfing but I now know it’s a no-no. You can touch me anywhere and I’m gentle with my treats. Loud noises don’t bother me and as much as I prefer being in your company, I can be left alone if you have to go out without me. I am not a big barker and not at all aggressive ~ just a bit fearful in new situations. Here’s how my amazing foster mom describes me: “Jojo has had a very hard five years of life. Everything she does is brand new to her. She is sweet and loving and very devoted to her human. She prefers women to men and would likely be best in a home with no small children and someone who perhaps works from home”. I trust you mom but I sure don’t want to be a bother to anyone so if you choose me, I will do my best to adapt to your ways. I would be so grateful if you would consider me to be a part of your family.
