Hi everyone…my name is Gidget and I’m a 5-year-old grateful girl. When I first met the good people at GR, I have to admit I was a nervous wreck. Everything was new to me…even meeting people. I didn’t know there were such lovely humans in this world. I was pretty timid and nervous but I soon realized I was in good hands with my fantastic foster family. Wow…are they ever wonderful! They are teaching me your human ways and I have certainly progressed but my potty training and leash walking are still works-in-progress. I’m starting to get pretty good with ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘drop it’, and ‘leave it’. My recall still needs work so GR thinks I should be in a home with a secure yard. I love women but I do get nervous and timid around men but if my mom is there when I meet a man, I calm quickly. I don’t have an aggressive bone in my body ~ I’m just timid! I love all dogs. I even love cats, chickens, and ducks. The doc says I’m healthy. He also says I’m not a pure Golden (I possibly have some Lab in me but shhhhh…don’t tell anyone because I desperately want to fit into the Golden Rescue family). I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere. You can leave me alone if you have to out without me. Loud noises don’t bother me and I’m not a big barker. I also love my car rides and my walkies. Here’s what my lovely foster mom says about me: “Gidget is such a sweetheart who just wants to be loved and to be included in your daily routine. She is anxious to please and will be a wonderful addition to any loving family.” Thank you and I promise to continue to work on understanding all your human ways so I can be the perfect Golden for you and yours.
