ATTENTION PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND FAMILIES

  • An adorable, sweet, easy-going girl
  • Needs to lose weight so family must be committed to that
  • Another dog in the home would be best (cats unknown)
  • Is good on leash

Hi everyone ~ my name is Piper and I’m a 2-year-old girl. Before I came to fabulous Golden Rescue, I never really knew much about exercise so I put on some unwanted pounds. My amazing foster family is in the process of fixing that and I’ve already lost four pounds but I still have quite a way to go. I am getting the hang of exercising and I’m amazing on the leash but I still need to be more active and less couch potato’ish. Don’t worry, I am anxious to please so please be patient with me as I will get there. Other than that, the doc says I’m very healthy and my foster family says I have no real foibles or challenges whatsoever ~ whatever that means. I’m just grateful to be with a family who loves and cares for me so I will do anything to gain their love. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother me. I can be left alone if you have to go out without me and I’m not a big barker except if another dog barks, then I tend to join in. I am currently living with two Golden sisters and I love their company so GR thinks it would be really good for me if there was another dog in your family. My lovely foster mom says I’m ready to find my forever family and I have to say I’m a little bit proud of myself for looking forward to the transition. If you would consider me, I promise to be the best Golden you’ve ever met. My needs are small and I don’t take up much space. In fact, when I lose the weight I need to lose, I’ll take up even less space (teehee).

Piper is currently being fostered in the Grand River, PEI area.  If you would like more information about Piper please call our hot-line toll-free at 1-866-712-8444 or email adoption@goldenrescue.ca and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
