Hi there ~ I’m Mickey and I’m an 11-month-old boy. I was skittish when I first arrived at my fosters. I’m more confident now and I feel safe and loved. In fact, my fosters make me feel all squishy inside. The truth is that I love all you humans and I particularly admire how you get around on two legs. I’ve tried it a number of times and I just keep falling over. I also love other dogs but I can be a bit too enthusiastic when I meet them. I need more socialization to figure out my manners when I meet new buddies. Don’t worry…I’m not the least bit aggressive. I just have a bit too much goofy puppy still in me. I know I have more to learn and I’m doing pretty well with my training. I’m getting the leash thing but when I see another dog, I totally forget what I have learned. I have not been cat tested but seeing as I’m too boisterous with dog pals, I may be way too overwhelming for a cat. My great foster dad says I’m smart and eager to please so as long as my training is continued, I’ll do just fine. I am already gentle with my treats and you can touch me anywhere. Thunderstorms don’t bother me but I don’t like the vacuum. You can leave me alone if you need to go out without me. Other than a weird infection that is getting cleared up with antibiotics, the doc says I’m healthy. I love my exercise and if I get enough during the day, I am a really good boy. Remember ~ a tired dog is a good dog, right? Here’s what my foster mom says about me: “Mickey is a very sweet, lovable, and loving boy. He is still a puppy with a lot of energy, so he needs someone who can give him lots of exercise and attention. He has made lots of progress socializing with people and other dogs. With continued attention, love, and patience, he will grow into a wonderful Golden family member.” Thank you so much…I won’t let you down!
