  • A wonderfully, sweet, sweet girl
  • Has a minor heart condition (that’s NOT interfering with her life but requires monitoring & daily meds)
  • Loves people, all dogs…and cats too
  • Doesn’t like thunder
  • Needs more leash training ~ pulls to go meet people & dogs

Hi everyone…my name is Daisy Mae and I’m 5 years old. When I arrived into the GR program, I was a bit overweight but my amazing foster family have me on a diet and I’m already slimmer. I could lose another pound or two but that won’t take me long. The doc has been working with me because I have a bit of a heart condition. It does NOT affect my day-to-day living nor does it interfere with my joie de vivre but I do have to take medication twice a day that costs around $200 bones a month. Yikes ~ so sorry about that! Other than that, I have no other issues. I absolutely love people and all dogs…fine with cats too. I’m what you humans call a ‘sociable girl’ and I’m always smiling and wagging my tail. That’s because I’m such a happy girl and life is good. I almost never bark because I don’t like to make a noise or a fuss. Speaking of noises though, I don’t like thunder ~ I start to pant when I hear a storm coming. I know all my commands but the leash thing is a work-in-progress. That’s because I love everybody so when I see a new person or dog on my walk, I pull like crazy to get over to them to say hello. I am very gentle with my treats and you can touch me anywhere and as often as you’d like (tee-hee). I am happy. I am gentle. I am loving…and I am so grateful to everyone at GR who has helped me, especially my rock-star foster family. Thank you all so very much!
