Happy New Year everyone! My name is Rosie and I’m 5 years old. The fantastic people at Golden Rescue have been taking great care of me, especially my amazing foster family. You see when I was first rescued, I had some health issues. One was a skin allergy and the other was a thyroid problem. I guess I am resistant to certain antibiotics so it took the doc some time to figure out which meds would work. Thankfully, they figured this out and my skin has greatly improved and they’ve figured out the right dose for my thyroid. These meds cost $200 bones a month and I am going to need them for the rest of my life ~ so that’s the bad news and I’m so sorry about that. Maybe I need to get a job to pay for them (teehee)? The good news is that the meds have made me feel SO much better and I’m now a happy, loving, grateful girl. I do need to have a bath once a week but I love my baths so if you don’t mind, I sure don’t either. I do get cold easily because of my thyroid so I wear a coat outside in the winter and a blanket at night when I’m sleeping. I know…I know ~ this all sounds like a lot; however, my foster mom says I make up for it with my good looks, loving nature, and goofy personality. Here are the other things you might like to know about me. I love people and other dogs but I have not been cat tested. I’m not a big barker. You can leave me alone when you have to go out without me. I love my walks. I know my commands. I am quite energetic so my foster mom is suggesting I go to a home with energetic people with a big backyard. Another dog for companionship would also be great but not absolutely necessary. Well, that’s my story. Just one other thing I need to say ~ thank you, thank you, thank you GR and my foster family for not giving up on me and figuring out all my medical stuff. I am so grateful and I feel like a new girl. You folks are the best.
