Hi everyone…my name is Piper and I’m a 4-year-old female. When I came to GR, I was a bit scruffy and nervous. Today, thanks to my wonderful foster mom, I’m a well-groomed, happy, confident girl. I love so many things about your human world, especially the TV and your DQ children’s cones. Of course, I love humans in general and I just want to please. I know all my commands in the house but outside I lose my focus and my ears. Because of this and a high prey drive, a secure back yard is a must for me and cats are a no-go. I also have had little to no socialization with other dogs so I should be the only pet in the home for now and it would be ideal if I could find a strong family member to walk me and a family who will have the patience to teach me how to behave with other dogs…so socialization classes may be in order (as I may have some leash or fear aggression). I think I will get it in time but it will be a work-in-progress. I love my car rides and I love swimming. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me
anywhere. I don’t particularly like being left alone but I’m not destructive…I just miss you. The doc says I’m a healthy girl and here’s how my foster mom describes me: “Piper is a well-trained, loving girl who will keep you entertained and laughing for many years.” I hope to meet you really soon. And by the way, my favourite TV show is Dr. Oakley Yukon Vet. I sure hope you get it on your TV (teehee).

Piper is currently being fostered in the Fort Erie, ON area.  If you would like more information about Piper please call our hot-line toll-free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
