Hi everybody…my name is Gunner and this is my sister Marley. We’re both around a year old and have been described as a very handsome/beautiful couple. Ah shucks! We do like to keep ourselves nice. Of course, our amazing foster family have groomed us and they look after us so well that we have been told we are even more good-looking since meeting them. We have had quite a journey to get into the GR program but everything is going so well now and we are quickly learning your kind human ways. We are both totally house-trained and polite inside the house. We are learning the leash thing but we would be a bit of a handful for one person to take us on a walk so two people would be much better. We are both gentle with our treats. You can certainly touch us anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother us. We don’t love being left alone but we aren’t destructive…just a bit whiny. That’s because we love people so much and want to be around you as much as possible. We are okay with some dogs but we certainly need more socialization as our interaction with our canine cousins is a work-in-progress. Our lovely foster parents believe that this will improve with time but you will need some patience and consistent training when we meet other dogs. We love our walks and both have good energy but we’re not crazy energetic either ~ but keep in mind that we are only a year old so still have some cute puppy tendencies. We like the car but tend to make a fuss when we see other dogs and people pass by. We’re working on this as well. We love to play together so we can keep ourselves occupied as we’re very happy in each other’s company. We grew up together so GR believes it is important that we find a forever family where we can stay together. We met the doc the other day…a very nice fellow BTW and he said we were two beautiful Golden(ish) specimens with no health issues. We certainly both feel good and very lucky to be rescued by such amazing people. Thank you everyone…especially our fosters ~ you’re the best!
