My oh my oh Maya. I thought that was my name because that’s what my fantastic foster mom called me when I first arrived. You see, I was very nervous when I first arrived. I wouldn’t even get out of the car and my kind fosters had to actually carry me into the house. In my defense, I was afraid because I’m just a pup (9 months old) and I didn’t know what was going on. It didn’t take me long, however, to understand that I was safe and loved and ‘oh my’ am I a happy girl now. I am learning all your human ways as I wasn’t taught these in my previous life so I’ve been a bit behind with my learning curve but worry not, my mom and dad say I’m smart and I so want to please. I still pull on the leash but I’m learning. I am not a big barker. I don’t like loud noises but I don’t freak either. You can certainly touch me anywhere…in fact, I love it! I like people although it sometimes takes me a few minutes to get used to someone new. I love all my canine cousins and even cats are fine with me. The doc says I’m a healthy girl so no problems there. I’d love to tell you more about myself but I’m too young to have much experience. I can say I am so grateful to all the kind people at GR especially my foster family and I plan to complete my training and get 100% on my test. Might you be willing to help me get there?
