Hi everyone! My name is Lucy and I’m 2.5 years old. I have had quite a difficult journey until I met the caring people at Golden Rescue. You see, I have something called ‘seizures’ that is now controlled with medication. My amazing foster family has been helping me soooo much and I haven’t had an episode since they figured out the meds. The doc believes these events have affected my vision a little and also might have left me with a bit of brain damage. Now really, I’m simply a happy girl and I don’t know there is anything amiss. My foster mom describes me as “sweet, adorable, playful, goofy, a bit shy, and anxious to please.” My walking on the leash is a bit of a problem as I tend to wander all over the place, so a big fenced backyard would really help me stay active. A major positive influence at my fosters is Benji, the foster’s Golden, who has become a great buddy and almost like a therapy dog for me.

So, finding a family with a furry friend would be super-duper. I love people, children, and dogs. Cats are even fine with me. I am not a big barker…what’s the point! You can touch me anywhere and please do as much as you’d like. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. I don’t particularly like loud noises but I don’t freak either. Yes, I have special needs and my medication costs $120 bones a month, and I know that’s expensive, but I would repay you with love, affection, and my goofy, golden, tongue-out smile every single day.
