Hi everyone…my name is Annie and I’m a 1-year-old pup. Yes, I’m still a pup in many ways ~ full of the joys of spring. When I first met the good people at GR, I had some behavioural issues and had a lot of anxiety and would get up every morning around 4:30 (not a very popular habit). Then I went to my foster home and met my wonderful loving foster family. Wow…what a difference! Once I realized I was safe and loved, I calmed down a lot and I’m sleeping better ~ usually right through to 7:30 – 8. I’m still on calming meds for the time being. There’s no question I still need more training on things like the leash and some commands like ‘leave it’ and ‘come’, etc. but I’m getting there. I’m smart and enthusiastic but I’m still young so you’ll need a little patience. I will be a great Golden companion as I’m a real love bug. I love to swim so if you are near water that would be a bonus. I also love playing with other dogs and humans ~ I’m just a big playful girl (cats are an unknown). Here’s what my foster mom says about me: ”Annie has the youthful energy of a pup and with training she will be a lovely companion, but you need to move quickly before we decide to not give her up…LOL”.
