#4743 Rocky
Age: 3 yrs
Gender: male
LOCATION: SARNIA, ON
Hi everybody, I am almost 3 years old, and my name is Rocky. Not Rocky Racoon, Not Rocky Balboa and not even Rocky Mountain. Mind you, when I first met the good people at GR, I was very overweight so I guess my nickname could have been Rocky Mountain, but my weight is down now so I’m just plain old Rocky to my friends. Speaking of friends, I was a nervous wreck when I first entered the GR program. I didn’t know anyone. I didn’t know if they were friend or foe so I had a very high level of anxiety according to my amazing foster dad. Now with his love, attention and care I feel so much more relaxed, but I still get a bit nervous in new situations until I get to know you. Worry not though, every day is getting better. I now understand how wonderful the human world can be. I am one lucky pup. I have a wonderful backyard to play in and I also get to swim in the lake which I love. I love retrieving whatever you throw in the water and on land I love to chase and retrieve the ball. It’s actually amazing. One GR supporter said:” Finally, a golden retriever that actually retrieves. “ I also love to run and I love my walks as well. I do pull to begin with in my excitement but I eventually settle down. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere once I get to know you. Loud noises don’t bother me. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me and the doc says, now that I’ve lost weight I’m a healthy boy. So, all in all, life is good, and I hope to meet you soon. If you come soon, you’ll still be able to catch me in the water chasing the stick.
