Hi everybody…my name is Rocco and I’m 2 years old. When I first met the good people at GR, I have to admit I had no manners. I was terrible on the leash and because of my previous life, I was starved for affection. It sure didn’t take me long living with my amazing foster family to understand I am the luckiest boy on the planet. I felt love, care, and safe immediately, which allowed me to learn all the things I didn’t know before. I’m not boasting but I now know: sit, stay, come, down, and heel. Pretty good, eh? I’m even not bad on the leash now that I use a gentle leader. I still pull if I get distracted but I have really improved, which makes our walks together so much more pleasurable. I am a big, strong boy but I’m also quiet as I hardly ever bark. I love people and other dogs and I have a lot of energy. Although I’m not a runner, my foster dad suggests it would be good to have a big fenced backyard because I know how to jump so a high fence would be best. Maybe I can enter the next Olympics as a high-jumper (teehee). You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. You can touch me anywhere and I don’t like surprising loud noises but I don’t freak either. Here’s what my dad says about me: “Rocco is a beautiful loving boy who loves to be with you. He will make a wonderful addition to any family.” Ah shucks!
