Hi everyone…my name is Rachel and I’m 2 years old. When I first met the good people at GR, I didn’t know my name was Rachel so I basically had no recall because I didn’t know it was me being called. I also jumped up all the time, wasn’t good on the leash, and knew few commands. With the help of my amazing foster family, I sure know my name now. I only jump up if I get really excited. I’m really good on the leash with a thing called a ‘gentle leader’ and I know ‘sit’ and am working on ‘down’ and ‘wait’. Not bad for a young girl, right? I am gentle with my treats. You can certainly touch me anywhere. I’m not a big barker unless someone comes to the door…and even then, I’m only doing my job. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me, mind you, I’ve always been with another dog. I love people and other dogs although I can be a bossy-pants with some dogs. I do chase birds and squirrels so cats are probably a no-go. I have lots of energy and love to run and play. The doc says I’m a healthy girl. Here’s what my foster parents say about me: “Rachel is a lovely, beautiful, smart girl and very easy to train. She is a real cuddler and people fall in love with her on our walks…just like we have.” Wow…I can’t imagine a more glowing
recommendation!
