Hello…my name is Maze and I’m a 3-year-old female. When I arrived in GR’s arms, I was overweight, had an ear infection, and something called whipworm parasites. My amazing foster family sorted all that out quickly and all is well, but I’ll tell you a funny story about those early days. You might have noticed in my photo that I have a distinctive stripe going down my nose. I’m used to it and it’s my unique feature; however, someone thought it was some kind of ingrained dirt or tree sap and I must have had six baths before they realized it was actually really a part of me. I loved the baths and all the attention I was getting so I didn’t bother telling them that it wasn’t going to come off (teehee). So now, about me…I love all beings ~ humans, children, dogs, and cats. I know most of my commands and I don’t counter-surf if you’re in the house. I will ‘explore’ (that’s a positive way to spin it, right?) if you’re not around, but does that really count? After all, if a tree falls in the forest and there’s no one around, does it make a sound? Pretty cerebral for a Golden, right? I am not bad on the leash. I might pull to see another dog but that’s just my friendly nature. I hardly ever bark. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere and the doc says I’m healthy. I am a bit nervous in busy urban areas as it’s obvious that I’m not too used to all that activity. At night on my walks, I can also get nervous around new sounds and smells but don’t worry too much, I can cope. Here’s what my foster dad says about me: “Maze is an all-around good girl who loves her people and will make a wonderful addition to any family.” Well, this is Maze (aka Stripe) signing off. Hope to meet you soon!
