Happy New Year everyone. My name is Chloe and I’m around 3 years old. I don’t like to brag but I have included a recent pic which I have to say makes me look kinda pretty…wouldn’t you agree? My fabulous foster dad says I’m a real beauty. Ah shucks! I am kind of a contradiction because I really do enjoy my spurts of energy and can get a little manic, yet I’m more of a couch potato than a high-energy girl. In my previous life, I had no experience with the leash, so this is a real work in progress for me. Don’t worry though ~ I’m a fast learner so you just need to be patient and I’ll get the hang of it soon. I love my car rides and I love running. In fact, my foster dad thinks I might have another breed in me like a springer spaniel or border collie because of my love for running, so that’s why a secure yard would be essential. But running is only when I feel like it, because as I said before, I’m also really good at hanging out on the couch. You can touch me anywhere. I am very gentle with my treats. Loud noises don’t bother me and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. I can be a bit of barker so I hope your neighbours will be tolerant of that. The doc says I’m very healthy and I certainly feel good. In my previous life, I was abandoned so this has left me nervous at times and I had an embarrassing defensive incident when I first met my foster family but my guru teacher believes this was an isolated incident and I certainly would never want to hurt any of my GR friends. I was also in heat when I came into the program so they have kept me away from other dogs, but I’m sure I would be fine. In fact, the woman who found me had a dog and a cat. I was fine with the dog but I did chase the cat. Here’s what my foster dad says about me: “Chloe is wonderful. She is exactly the type of dog anyone would want (including me). She plays and stays and is affectionate and attentive.” I hope you’ll take a chance on me and give me a great start to the new year.
