Okay, okay…I know, I am much more of a Lab than a Golden. In fact, I think I’m all Lab. So, why am I on a Golden Rescue website? Good question. Let me start my story by telling you my name. I’m Merry and I’m around 7 years old. I am actually coming from South Korea. South Korea isn’t on the CFIA ban list so I am allowed to come to your beautiful country…in fact, I’m flying to Canada in a few weeks…how lucky am I? I had a lovely home here in South Korea but my owner got sick and had to give me up to a shelter. Then she got well and took me back. I was so happy. Soon after that, however, my lovely owner passed away and I was returned once again to the shelter. The shelter reached out to Golden Rescue to see if you could help and the answer was yes. Thank you, thank you, thank you! So, let me tell you a bit about myself. I absolutely love people and other dogs. I have not been cat tested; however, I’m so gentle and laid-back that I’m certain I’d be fine with cats. I am a very friendly, loving, playful, and happy girl. I do love my food and treats…maybe a little too much (tee-hee). Because of that, I am on a strict diet. I have already lost 14 pounds and still need to lose a bit more. I am already busy packing to get ready for my long journey. I have even been taking English lessons. I’m working on the words ‘sit’, ‘come’. and ‘stay’. Pretty good, EH? See, I’m learning Canadian already! See you soon…I’m SO excited.
