You love me, you love me not! You love me, you love me not! Heavens…what’s there not to love??? Okay, maybe there is but mostly I’m totally lovable. Oops…forgot to introduce myself. My name is Daisy and I’m around two years old. The good folks at Golden Rescue think I’m as cute as a button (whatever than means). You see, I’m part Golden and I’m part Cocker Spaniel. You can probably tell which part of me is Cocker’ish. Definitely those Dumbo ears (tee-hee). I’m also pretty small for a Golden so let’s just say I’m ‘unique’. Thank you for all you’ve done for me. When I first entered the program, I was overweight, disheveled, anxious, and nervous. With the help of my amazing foster family, I have improved a lot. I am getting more confident every day. I am particularly comfortable with people and dogs I have met before but first-time meetings for me are still a challenge, but worry not, this is improving. My foster mom says I’m very smart and I already know a lot of your human words. I am in the process of learning ‘drop it’ because I don’t like things taken out of my mouth, but come to think about it, who does? I have lots of energy so I would do well with an active family. I would be best in a home with no children and with a strong leader who won’t let me get away with any shenanigans. I am not a fan of going to the vet and I can act very badly there. I know it’s not an excuse but I’m pretty sure I came by my fears and bad behaviours honestly. Loud noises don’t bother me. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. I am okay getting groomed now and I’m a superstar on the leash. Well, that’s my story. I still have a few things to learn and work on and I still need to get over my nervousness in new situations. Here’s how my foster mom describes me: “Daisy is a smart and sporty companion in a compact package who likes to relax near you once playtime is over. She is a really sweet girl.” Thank you for giving me a second chance!
