Howdy! My name is Louis and I’m a 2-year-old goof-ball. Now, the folks in GR say I remind them of a character called Hoss Cartwright. Don’t know who that is but they say he was a gentle giant in a show called The Ponderosa. I looked it up and I think I’d look pretty funny riding a horse. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a big (95 lbs) strong boy but a gentle one. I love my life and car rides. My favourite thing is the great outdoors ~ walks on trails, camping, and water. I also love all people and children, although because of my size and enthusiasm, it might be best not to be around small children for now. I love all female dogs (I’m a lady’s man) but I am a bit cautious around male dogs. Even cats are fine with me. I love my soft toys but I do have a tendency to rip and tear so you might want to buy them at the dollar store as they don’t seem to last long. I am not a big barker and you can touch me anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother me and I can be left alone if you have to go out without me. I am pretty well trained although I could still use more work on the leash thingy and the ‘drop it’ command. My lovely foster mom describes me as a sweet, eager-to-please, loyal boy who will become your shadow. What do you think of that description, Hoss? Pretty good…right partner?
