Hi everyone…my name is Brandi and I’m an 11-year-old girl. Firstly, I’d like to thank the good people at GR for taking me in as I’m obviously much more of a Lab than a Golden. Well, at least we have basically the same personality but I am grateful you let me sneak into your program. My foster family has been so kind to me. You see, my previous mom had to go into care and couldn’t take me with her. I miss her terribly but love everyone in my new GR family. Yes, I am a senior but the doc says I’m a healthy girl except I have pretty much lost my hearing. Don’t worry too much about that as I have been in your human world for a long time and I know what to do. The only thing lacking is recall because I can’t hear you if you call so best I’m not off-leash. I am laid-back and calm ~ nothing really bothers me. I love just hanging out looking out the window or sleeping on the couch and I have a particular penchant for pillows. I love pillows!!! I do like my exercise and I’m great on the leash, but I don’t need a lot of walkies. I am gentle with my treats. You can certainly touch me anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother me but maybe it’s because I can’t hear them anymore…teehee. I love the car and I can still jump into it just fine. I do bark at passers-by but I can be calmed easily. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me and I love all humans and other dogs. Cats are an unknown but I think I would be fine with them. Here’s how my foster mom describes me: ”Brandi is truly a lovely, sweet old girl. She gets attached to her people quickly and she has so much love in her eyes.” Thank you for giving me a much-needed second chance.
