Hi everyone…my name is Bailey and I’m a 2-year-old boy.  When I arrived in the arms of my foster family, I have to admit I was pretty afraid and paced and panted all night.  I was also pretty smelly and had no command training at all.  This was a challenge for my amazing foster family but did they ever step up.  I love them so much for all they’ve done for me.  They’ve taught me so much, and of course I’m now well-groomed and no longer smelly, and would you believe it, I actually love being bathed and blow-dried now! My paws are a little ticklish, but I enjoy getting pampered. I’m also proud to say I can almost go potty on command. How cool is that? I’m learning the leash thing and my recall in the house is really good and you know what? It’s starting to be almost just as good outside too! I’m working hard every day and making great progress. Loud noises don’t bother me and you can certainly touch me anywhere or leave me alone if you have to go out without me. I absolutely love people and being made a fuss over as I’m a super cuddly and affectionate. I’ve also started slowly venturing out of my comfort zone and trying to make some dog friends. I’m still working on building confidence with other dogs, but with patience and the right guidance, I know I’ll get there. One of my favourite things is lying in the backyard on a sunny day with a good stick. Life’s pretty great when the sun’s out and I’ve got space to stretch out. The doc says I’m a healthy boy except I do get ear infections from time to time.  Here’s what my foster mom says about me: “Bailey is such a joy.  His smile is so sweet and infectious.  He just needs patience and consistent training and socialization”.  Don’t worry, I will soon get 100% on my test.
